How to update/ edit AI-related question answers?

Your idea details (the details provided during the Idea setup) shape what the AI generates when it drafts your business plan. As your business evolves, you may want to revisit those answers to refine the description, adjust the customer profile, or update any of the business-details. You can edit them at any time from the Company's Idea section.

NOTE: Updates you make here won't automatically appear in an already-generated business plan. To pick up the changes, you'll need to reset your business plan and regenerate it with AI.

How to edit your idea details:

From your Companies list, open the Company whose idea details you want to update.

In the Company's left sidebar, click Idea. This opens the Idea setup with its steps: Describe Idea, Supporting Docs, Venture Type, and Business Details.

Go to the step you want to update and revise the content:

  • Describe Idea: Update the What does your business do? description, and your answers to the questions below those fields (for example, Who are your customers? and What problem are you solving?). Click AI Assist to redraft those answers from the business description you've entered.
  • Business Details: Revise any of the business details sections shown for your business (Products, Customers, Location, Channels, Differentiation, Competitors, and the rest). Click Suggest Answers at the top right to have Upmetrics draft answers for every section based on what you've entered so far.

Once your idea details are updated, you can move forward with your AI-assisted Business Plan creation.
