Customize Finance Report in Your Business Plan

You can customize your finance report in your business plan by adjusting various settings. Modify the time period view, choose which financial streams to include or exclude, set your preferred currency, and format numbers as needed.

The Finance section of your business plan is directly linked to the Finance Forecast module. This means that all financial data displayed in your business plan is automatically pulled from your forecast. Before adding any finance reports to your business plan, make sure your Finance Forecast module is properly configured. If not, all figures in your finance reports will appear as 0 by default.

Additionally, any changes made to the Finance Forecast module will instantly update the finance report in your business plan in real time, ensuring accuracy and consistency across your reports.

This guide will walk you through the steps to customize/ filter your finance report to align with your business plan requirements.

Steps:

Open the Business Plan Builder and Navigate to the Financial Plan chapter.

Here, select any finance report and click on the filter icon in the top-right corner of the report.

The Financial Plan chapter contains all key finance reports such as Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet.

A pop-up will appear, allowing you to select or exclude financial streams. Choose the relevant stream and line items. Click on Save to apply changes.

Click on the time period drop-down menu to set Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly views of your reports. Select the preferred time period for better insights.

Set preferences for Display Currency, Number Formatting, and Negative Number Representation using the available options.
